As we dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and luck. The goal is to shift your checkers safely around the game board to your inner board and at the same time your opposition shifts their chips toward their inside board in the opposing direction. With competing player chips shifting in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the need for particular strategies at specific times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon techniques to complete your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the goal of the blocking tactic is to slow down the opponent to shift their chips, the Priming Game tactic is to completely block any activity of the opposing player by constructing a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's checkers will either get bumped, or result a battered position if he ever attempts to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your half of the board. As soon as you've successfully assembled the prime to stop the activity of your competitor, your opponent does not even get a chance to toss the dice, that means you move your pieces and toss the dice yet again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Tactic

The aims of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game tactic are similar - to harm your opponent's positions hoping to better your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game technique relies on different techniques to do that. The Back Game strategy is often used when you are far behind your opponent. To participate in Backgammon with this strategy, you need to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This tactic is more difficult than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it requires careful movement of your checkers and how the checkers are relocated is partly the outcome of the dice toss.
