As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of skill and luck. The aim is to move your pieces carefully around the board to your home board and at the same time your opponent moves their pieces toward their inner board in the opposite direction. With competing player checkers heading in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the need for specific tactics at particular instances. Here are the last two Backgammon plans to round out your game.

The Priming Game Plan

If the purpose of the blocking plan is to hamper the opponents ability to shift their checkers, the Priming Game strategy is to completely block any activity of the opponent by creating a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's pieces will either get bumped, or end up in a damaged position if he ever tries to escape the wall. The trap of the prime can be setup anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your board. After you've successfully built the prime to prevent the movement of the opponent, your opponent does not even get to roll the dice, that means you shift your pieces and roll the dice again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Strategy

The aims of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game plan are similar - to harm your competitor's positions hoping to better your odds of succeeding, but the Back Game tactic utilizes seperate tactics to do that. The Back Game technique is often used when you are far behind your competitor. To compete in Backgammon with this strategy, you need to hold two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This technique is more difficult than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your chips and how the checkers are relocated is partially the outcome of the dice roll.
